Your goal should be to provide a baby, any baby in need with a loving, happy and safe home.

There are plenty of families who just want a child to love and have as part of their family regardless of race and they adopt an asian, hispanic baby when they are white themselves.

The baby grows up as part of the family and why would they not fit in because they were of a different race unless the other family member purposly made them uncomfortable or always pointed out their difference…

If you are truly seeking legal advice on this then call around to agencies and find out what the laws are.

I've always toyed with the idea of adopting a child or two in the future…The children in my mind are always black, but that isn't to say that I wouldn't adopt a white child under certain circumstances; my first choice will just always be a black child.

Just like you mentioned, black children aren't adopted as often as white children are. What do you think happens to those who age out of the system? They usually become statistics. That's disheartening. As a black person who loves black people and would love to see black people prove everyone else wrong, I'd adopt a million black children if I could and raise them to be upstanding black adults. Since that isn't realistic, I've decided to do the next best thing which will allow me to be surrounded by black children all the time: teach. If I can motivate a child and help cultivate his/her mind per school term, then I've succeeded and done my part.

Sorry, kind of drifted off topic :)
